Who you are buying from
SalonX (salonx.ai) is an online platform that lets hair and beauty salons recommend professional products to their clients. When you place an order, the seller is the product supplier named at checkout and on your order confirmation — not SalonX and not your salon. The supplier is the merchant of record: they own the stock, charge you (including VAT), despatch your order and handle returns and refunds. The supplier's company details and VAT number appear on your receipt. Your salon introduces the products and may earn a commission from the supplier on your purchase, at no extra cost to you.
Ordering and payment
Prices shown include VAT. The price you pay is the price displayed at the moment you check out. Delivery charges, options and timescales are set by the supplier and shown before you pay. Payment is taken securely by our payment provider, Stripe; SalonX never sees or stores your card details. If your basket contains products from more than one supplier, it is split into separate orders, one per supplier, each despatched and charged for separately — this is shown clearly before payment.
Your right to cancel (14 days)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel your order for any reason up to 14 days after the day you receive your goods, and receive a full refund including standard delivery. To cancel, use the returns option in your order confirmation email or contact the supplier using the details on your receipt. You must return the goods within 14 days of telling the supplier you wish to cancel; return postage is your responsibility unless the goods are faulty. For hygiene reasons, the right to cancel does not apply to sealed cosmetic products that have been unsealed after delivery. Refunds are made to your original payment method within 14 days of the supplier receiving the goods back. None of this affects your statutory rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Delivery
Orders are despatched by the supplier to the delivery address you provide. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes on despatch. If your order does not arrive, contact the supplier using the details on your receipt and they will investigate with the courier.
Product information and cosmetics safety
Product descriptions and imagery are supplied by the product supplier or brand. Responsibility for product compliance with the UK Cosmetics Regulation, including ingredient listings and safety information, rests with the supplier as the party placing the products on the market. Always follow the usage instructions on the product.
Complaints and contact
For questions about an order, delivery or a return, contact the supplier shown on your receipt. For questions about the SalonX platform or your account, email support@salonx.ai. For product advice, speak to your salon — they know your hair. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there).
