Moving from another system

Clients → Client data import takes a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) exported from your old system.

What comes across

• Clients — name, email, mobile, notes. Consent to marketing is not assumed; clients re-confirm it the first time they book or identify in the salon.
• Services — name, duration, price, category.
• Future bookings — matched to a client and a service by name, placed on the calendar at the right time with the right stylist.

Getting a clean import

• One row per client. Email is the thing SalonX matches on, so make sure it's in its own column.
• Mobile numbers can be in any UK format; we tidy them.
• If a service name in the bookings file doesn't match a service you've added, that booking is skipped and listed for you at the end.

Consultations

If your clients have all been consulted already, mark that on each client's record (Consultation tab → Mark as done) so services that need a consultation don't send them round the loop again. How the consultation gate works.
